Bio: Jody has a background in international affairs and is currently pursuing her doctorate in psychology with a focus on integrative therapy and healing practices. Prior to moving to Pahrump, Nevada, she lived in the Lake Tahoe area and got certified as a holistic health practitioner. She has worked at other universities both in adjunct faculty positions and in managing academic programs and services. Her volunteer work has focused on children’s health, healthy vision, literacy, and capacity building for small non-profit organizations. As a writer and editor, she currently works part-time with an organization that helps international medical school graduates find residency programs and fellowship opportunities in the US. She has lived and worked overseas, traveling to more than 30 countries as a trainer and consultant. When not working or studying, she enjoys playing the piano and learning about the history of other places and cultures.
